Relax
Kick off your wellies after a wander in Alnwick Castle's pastures and hang your coat in the spacious bootroom as you enter The Counting House. Head up the stairs and into the living room to put your feet up...

In the living room, you'll find a comfortable sofa to lounge on, as well as an armchair and foot stool. There is a coffee table and a Smart TV for rainy afternoons and quiet evenings in. The space is tastefully decorated with ambient lighting and a feature fireplace to reflect the building's historic character.
Unwind
On the top floor, you'll find a gorgeous bathroom featuring a claw foot bath, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. There is also a separate shower, toilet and washbasin.

'The Vaulted View' is possibly Alnwick's most unique space to unwind. This cosy nook has amazing views across Alnwick's rooftops, as well as a feature fireplace, an armchair and foot stool. There is also a bookcase if you've forgotten your holiday read and there are games up there for the more competitive guests.

Sleep
On the second floor you'll find both bedrooms. Bedroom one (the master) features a four poster king-size bed flanked by bedside tables, each with their own lamp. There is a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, mirrors, a ceiling fan, and soft furnishings that complement the space.

Bedroom two is a twin room, with comfortable single beds either side of the bedside table and lamp. A wardrobe and mirror completes the room.
Eat
No holiday would be complete without good food, so whether you're looking to dish up a takeaway or cook some local produce from scratch, the kitchen at The Counting House is well equipped for all of your culinary needs.
There is an electric oven and hob, a kettle, a toaster, a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher and all essential kitchenware. There is also a breakfast bar with seating for four.
